Vintage Carpathian Wool Kilim Rug, 1970s-1980s - Crimson Blossom, 6'6" × 5'

A beautiful vintage handwoven wool kilim sourced from the Ukrainian Carpathian region. Its expressive composition features three large floral medallions framed by vibrant geometric borders in deep burgundy, black, green, red, pink, blue and cream.

The bold diamonds, stepped forms and rhythmic horizontal bands reflect the geometric design traditions associated with Hutsul and wider Carpathian weaving. Subtle irregularities in the shapes and lines reveal the handmade nature of the piece and give it its unique character.
