Sun of Trinity Candle Holder — 11 Inches

Handcrafted in Ukraine from papier-mâché, this sculptural three-candle holder is a contemporary interpretation of traditional Ukrainian symbolism.

At the center of the piece is a hand-painted Sun symbol inspired by traditional Ukrainian pysanka designs. The Sun is one of the oldest motifs found in Ukrainian egg-decorating traditions and has long been associated with light, warmth, life, fertility, prosperity, renewal, and the continuous movement of life.

Here, the ancient solar symbol is paired with the living flame of three candles. When lit, the candlelight seems to continue the meaning of the symbol itself — filling the space with warmth and reflecting the light we seek to preserve in our homes and lives.

Each candle holder is formed and painted by hand, then finished with a protective lacquer. Metal inserts are placed inside the candle openings to hold standard taper candles securely.
